Alfredo García in the role of Don Quixote in the recording of Naxos

During the month of August 2018 the work by Manuel de Falla “Master Peter’s Puppet Show” was recorded in the city of New York under the baton of maestro Ángel Gil-Ordóñez and the voice of baritone Alfredo García in the role of Don Quixote. The recording for Naxos was made after scheduling two concerts with this work in the same city of New York. The rest of the interpreters were the soprano Jennifer Zetlan, in the role of Trujamán and the tenor Jorge Garza as Maese Pedro. The orchestra has been Perspectives Ensemble and the release of the CD will be expected from May 2018.

Alfredo García played this role for the first time under the direction of the maestro Rafael Frühbeck de Burgos and the Dresdner Philharmonie, although he later interpreted it with maestro Juanjo Mena and Juan José Olives.

In the same CD the work of Falla “El Amor Brujo” interpreted by Esperanza Fernández is included.
